How the UN goals help the earth's largest issue

    Investigating the UN Sustainable Development Goals has made me realize how many issues need to be solved. All 17 goals are equally important, and they will all need to be solved eventually or the entire world will suffer. I have begun to realize that a lot of people are suffering and in poverty, so to try to help I’m trying not to waste as much food. This will help achieve the goal no poverty, which is about making sure everyone has a good quality of life and don’t have to struggle to meet everyday needs. I also am trying to help reduce climate change by turning off lights and not using water more than needed. This helps with the goal climate change. By reducing the amount of electricity that is used, carbon dioxide emissions will also reduce, which will help with climate change. In the future I believe I will be helping achieve the goals by not using my car (walking or biking), not wasting food, and watching now much I produce and consume items and resources. Not using your car is also part of achieving the goal climate change. Not wasting food is part of the goal no poverty. Watching how much you produce and consume is part of the goal responsible production and consumption. That goal is about making sure people are properly producing and consuming resources and items. I can be an influence on the world by making sure that I’m using resources and items that are good for the environment. Some of these resources could be using a car that is good for the environment, using solar panels to light my house, and recycling as much as I can. In conclusion, all of the UN goals are equally important, and everyone can be a part of the solution.

Things I learned from the 2016 presidential election.

Through classroom examination of election issues and candidates in the 2016 election, I learned that a lot of the issues involve more than just our country, and some candidates agree on things I thought they would disagree on.    

    A lot of issues, such as letting refugees into the United states, involve the countries they’re coming from, because based on our decision conflict might start between countries. Also, the terrorist group ISIS might decide to go after more than just our county based on our decision to declare war or not.

    Also, some candidates running for president agree on more problems than I thought they would. For example, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton both don’t want Trans - Pacific Partnerships, because of more Americans going overseas, and I thought they would’ve disagreed. I also agree with candidates that I thought I would disagree with. For example, Hillary Clinton wants to raise taxes, but Donald Trump doesn't, and I agree with Donald Trump because I don’t want the poor to have to pay more money in taxes.

    I learned a lot from classroom examination, such as the issues aren’t just about our country, and that some candidates agree on more things that I thought.

Google search tips/types of questions

You should use both open and closed questions because you can have either a very complex answer, or a short, simple answer. When asking a closed question, such as “what is your favorite color?” you can give a short, sometimes one word answer. This type of question doesn’t usually require a lot of thought. On the other hand, when asking an open question, such as “what is the meaning of life?” requires a lot more contemplation, thus a longer and more complex answer.

You should use Google search tips because it helps to have a more efficient, and specific search. You can narrow down your search and look up specific words by using double quotations “”. By using this you’re searching sites with only the words in the quotes. For example: “Blueberry pie.” This allows you to search pages with both blueberry, and pie in them. Another tip that makes Google search more efficient is the minus symbol -. This allows you to cancel out a word in your search. For example: Candy recipes-chocolate. This means that the sites that come up will have candy recipes that don’t have chocolate in them.
